#LaserEyesAnimalPrize becomes #LaserEyesforUkraine
Just about the time I was going to do another post, Ukraine was invaded. I’m not alone in grieving the pain and the loss of life this act of war is causing. I am attempting to modulate my online news consumption as I’ve thought about how to navigate this space moving forward.
It’s hopeful to see how individuals, communities, and countries are rallying to help the people and the country of Ukraine. Whether it’s donating time, money, resources, thoughts, or prayers, I’m choosing to trust that every little thing we do helps. As overwhelming as this unjust act of war is, I want to offer one small thing I’ve created to help those who need immediate aid.
My collection #LaserEyesAnimalPrize, found on OpenSea, has been renamed #LaserEyesforUkraine. I will be donating all proceeds from this project to humanitarian relief in the Ukraine, specifically Save the Children.
I’m a photographer who started this project as an experiment in creativity. You can read the backstory of the collection here, but the good news is that there are over 1000 NFTs in #LaserEyesforUkraine, which is a bit different from most NFT collections. The floor for this project currently averages about 0.01 ETH.
Your donation [can] be anonymous, but your generosity will live on forever in the hearts of those who receive it.
If you’d like to give to this project, or spread the word to those who might like to give, I thank you sincerely and gratefully.
These animals will live on the blockchain for posterity. May this collection be one small symbol of resistance for freedom and hope in the face of injustice.
